Kara has a unique way of identifying problems, relating to people and utilizing practical solutions. Starting as a kennel worker at the age of 14, Kara has worn many hats in a veterinary hospital. Recognizing that each and every team member leads to the success of a practice coupled with her ability to relate to each position, gives her a unique view on problem solving.
A proven manager and trusted reference for practical veterinary management, leadership, communication and customer service skills, her 25+ years in the profession have given her an opportunity to address many of the challenges practices face today first hand.
While she is passionate about practices providing excellent medical care, she also recognizes the importance of taking good care of your clients and team. Kara works with practices and speak on topics that help attract, engage and retain clients and team members. Utilizing creativity, team involvement and of course, a little fun, she believes any animal hospital can generate welcoming environments for clients, patients and team members alike.
On the personal side, Kara enjoys her spending time with her family- including the 4 legged ones. Originally from a small town near Buffalo, New York, Kara is a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, despite the decades of heartache they have given her! She also appreciates good food, good naps and of course, lots of good laughs.
